Thomas R. Byrd is a native of Central Florida, and has lived in Miami, FL since 2014. Thomas received his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2009, and his MBA from the University of Miami in 2016. While in college, he also eared his wings becoming a private pilot. From 2010 to 2016, Thomas served as Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps as an intelligence officer. Following an eight-month deployment at sea providing intelligence support to his aviation unit, Thomas was stationed at a strategic command (US Southern Commend) in Doral, FL and served as a strategic intelligence planner. Thomas left the active duty military in January 2017. His interest in aviation and civil aviation disasters drew him to explore the riddle of the 2014 MH370 disaster, leading him to begin his current project as founder of AlulA Aerospace. Concurrently, Thomas and his team also discovered unique opportunities beyond aviation safety with this new and unique aviation data streaming capability. They set out to ‘gamify’ it, and discovered a game, which could satisfy a market longing for an affordable mobile-based mixed-reality experience, a well as raise awareness for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) for youth. Since then, Thomas works full time on his two parallel ventures: AlulA Aerospace and the VarDragons AR/VR mobile game title.
