Craving for some new Beat Saber tunes to slice your way through? Well, you’re in luck. Beat Games has just released a teasing video revealing that new songs will be appearing this week, all from Interscope Records no less.
If you’ve not heard of Interscope Records, no worries, you’ll definitely know some of the artists on its books. Part of Universal Music Group, the record label features a board range of artists from Billie Eilish, Shenseea and Black Pink to Dr. Dre, Juice WLRD and The Rolling Stones.
Currently, no artists have been confirmed, how many tracks will feature on the Beat Saber: Interscope Mixtape or how much it’ll cost – assuming it’s going to be DLC like the other big-name music packs. However, the video most definitely features LMFAO’s insanely catchy Party Rock Anthem so that seems a given, plus there’s a date 27th May. So there are only three days to wait to find out!
While most official Beat Saber music packs have collaborated with individual artists like Linkin Park, BTS and Green Day, the Beat Saber: Interscope Mixtape has the potential to be one of the biggest yet, covering a myriad of genres. Another important note, it’s coming to all supported platforms at the same time, which hasn’t always been the case with content updates.
While you wait there’s always the Original Soundtrack (OST) Volume 4 to continue perfecting. It dropped back in March as a freebie for all players, with four songs developed in-house for everyone to enjoy.
As Beat Saber continues to be the dominant rhythm action videogame in VR, VRFocus will continue its coverage, reporting back with further details of this upcoming mixtape.
