Ven VR Adventure Confirmed for Oculus Quest, Rift Launch in December,

There are plenty of virtual reality (VR) titles to look forward to this winter depending on the system you own. While Oculus Rift owners may feel a little abandoned by Facebook with the fact that the platform will be discontinued next Spring, there is some good news; Monolithic Games has confirmed Ven VR Adventure will be arriving for Rift next month.

Ven VR Adventure

The Polish studio announced the platformer at the beginning of the year, showcasing a lush looking single-player adventure. In a similar vein to videogames like Moss, you team up with titular character Ven, navigating him through an assortment of puzzles as well as interacting with his world.

You have to help Ven save his planet which is being invaded by the evil Bruce Nelson, whose goal is to destroy the magical world and access its energy to make him virtually immortal. On your travels around his planet you’ll have to collect magical runes, expertly time jumps to keep Ven alive, rescue his companions and fight Nelson’s deadly minions.

You’re not some ethereal being either. Ven will talk to you with various animations during quiet moments, and you can also interact with the little guy. Once levels have been completed you can then return and take on some of the various gameplay modes such as Time Trial, speedrunning to then compare your performance against global leaderboards.

Ven VR Adventure

Ven VR Adventure will be released on Oculus Store for Oculus Rift on 17th December 2020 but there’s been no update on the Steam or PlayStation VR version just yet. There are also several other parts to the announcement, the other big one being native Oculus Quest support slated for Q1/Q2 2021. Monolithic Games also notes cross-buy support will be included.
