Back in June Owlchemy Labs announced that its colourful virtual reality (VR) title Vacation Simulator would be getting DLC this fall. Today, the studio has revealed that Vacation Simulator: Back to Job will be made available for all supported platforms next week.
Vacation Simulator was all about learning how to relax and enjoying the simple pleasures, playing in the sea, throwing snowballs or admiring the local wildlife. All taken care of by lots of friendly bots. In this DLC however, the roles have been reversed as all the bots have gone on holiday instead.
This means there are a lot of jobs piling up on the island and it’s up to you to sort them out. Joining the on-demand workforce you’ll be at the poolside cantina to help the bots with their every whim, and the all expect a 5-star service. You won’t be doing this alone as GigBot will be your trusty partner, assisting where possible.
“We’re really excited to expand the vibrant world of Vacation Island and give players a DLC packed with new content,” said Andrew Eiche, CTOwl and Cable Slinger at Owlchemy Labs in a statement.
The Vacation Simulator: Back to Job DLC will be released on Thursday 10 September for free, supporting Oculus Quest and Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index, PlayStation VR and Windows Mixed Reality headsets.
VRFocus gave the PC version of Vacation Simulator a commendable four-star review, saying: “What’s particularly pleasing is the fact that everything just seems to work. Owlchemy Labs needs to be commended on its production values for Vacation Simulator, offering a smooth, faultless experience from start to finish.” For further updates from Owlchemy Labs, keep reading VRFocus.
