It’s a double Resolution Games announcement bonanza today. After Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs the studio has also revealed one of its earliest titles Wonderglade is coming back, arriving on Oculus Quest in a few days.
Originally released in 2016 for Google Daydream before being ported to Gear VR and the Oculus Go the following year. Now that all those headsets are either discontinued or about to be, Wonderglade will soon feature 6DoF support as it heads to Oculus Quest.
Wonderglade features six mini-games where players can putt, tilt, spray and spin their way through the challenges, earning tickets to redeem at the Wonder Wheel.
“Wonderglade was originally developed for mobile VR,” explained Gustav Stenmark, producer at Resolution Games in a statement. “So taking it to the Quest headset is really exciting. The wireless aspect of the Quest lends itself so well to the game’s pass-and-play mode, where several people can compete against each other’s high scores. Wonderglade represents a genre that is underrepresented on the Quest, so it will definitely add value to players looking for a fun and whimsical adventure that offers diversity of gameplay throughout the six mini-games within the game itself.”
“Wonderglade is a title that is dear to our hearts at Resolution Games,” said Tommy Palm, the studio’s CEO. “It’s a great testament to how a game can evolve to maintain staying power over the course of several years. We’re thrilled that Quest players will be able to enjoy the entire mini-game collection of Wonderglade, while having a title they can share with the whole family.”
Oculus Quest owners will be able to purchase Wonderglade from 9th July 2020, retailing for $14.99 USD on the Oculus Store. For further updates on all of Resolution Games’ VR projects, keep reading VRFocus.
