The VR Game Launch Roundup: Dogs, Sheep & Creepy Cabins

It’s time for another Friday roundup of the virtual reality (VR) titles coming out next week. After a slew of big releases across the end of March and into April, May starts a little quieter with a few interesting offerings available.

Wet Dog Corp

Wet Dog Corp – Ringling College of Art & Design

The first videogame from Ringling College’s VR Development BFA degree programme, Wet Dog Corp is a free title where players have to wash, dry and generally pamper a selection of pooches in timed challenges.

Echo VR (Open Beta) – Ready at Dawn

Already available for Oculus Rift, as pickings were a little slim for next week VRFocus has included Ready at Dawn’s Oculus Quest open beta for multiplayer title Echo VR. Enjoy arena battles for free and help test the title before launch.

  • Supported platforms: Oculus Quest
  • Launch date: 5th May
House of Fear

House of Fear – ARVI VR Inc.

Trapped inside with nowhere to run to (sound familiar)? Step into a creepy cabin in the woods, all alone you need to find a way out…if the house will let you.

Therapy Sheep VR – IFGworld

Stressed? Need to chill out? Then step into a sheep-filled field. Set on a mountainside meadow in the Swiss Alps the Early Access Therapy Sheep VR offers four times of day and interesting sheep facts, for all you sheep aficionados.

Therapy Sheep VR

Island Explorer VR – AutoRotate180

A simple driving experience where you can drive around a secluded island in a jeep which has a manual H-shifter – possibly a first for VR? No quests, no tasks and no enemies, just you and the open road. Oh and it is free.
