Check out the Reward Booth for additional goodies.

When it comes to a particular season or other near-universal event Steam is right on time with another themed sale. Whether it’s the Steam Halloween Sale, Steam Autumn Sale, or the recently ended Steam Winter Sale, they’re so often there’s almost no point in buying in between it seems. Today, sees the start of the Chinese New Year – also called the Lunar New Year – welcoming the Year of the Pig, and so it gives PC VR owners another chance to save some cash in Steam’s Lunar New Year Sale.

The Forest image1As per usual it’s not too hard to find plenty of virtual reality (VR) titles in the sale. Not all of them are included, but there’s likely to be one or two that you’ve been thinking of purchasing. And with January now over most people have generally been paid, making for a great time to have a sale.

It doesn’t matter if you own an Oculus Rift, HTC Vive or Windows Mixed Reality headset there’s no shortage of experiences on offer, with discounts wildly ranging from a mere 10 percent all the way up to a very decent 90 percent in some cases.

As usual, VRFocus isn’t going to start listing them all – why would we want to rob you of that enjoyment? Instead, we’ve had a quick peruse of what’s on offer to highlight a few choice selections that are worth adding to your library of VR content.

In addition to the sale, Steam is also running what it calls the Reward Booth. Buying videogames during the sale period will earn players tokens that may be redeemed at the Rewards Booth for £5 instant discount coupons, fancy profile pages, badges and more. On top of that, players will also receive a one-time automatic £5 USD (or equivalent currency) discount on qualifying purchases over £30 (limited to one cart purchase per account).

Steam’s Lunar New Year Sale will end on 11th February, with the Reward Booth open until 12th, at 6pm GMT. For all the latest VR discounts and offers on Steam, keep reading VRFocus.
