Its been noticed by quite a few companies by now that virtual reality (VR) has a certain amount of potential in the area of both travel and advertising. Italian beer brand Menabrea is offering customers the chance to visit the beautiful and historic location of Northern Italy without ever stepping foot outside the local pub by utilising VR technology.
Mnabrea are offering 360-degree tours of its historic Menabrea brewery, which is the oldest continuously producing brewery in Italy, located at the foot of the Italian Alps.
Selected bars and pubs in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh will have the experience available, which will transport customers to experience the beauty and heritage of the Menabrea brewery in Biella, Italy.
Menabrea brand manager Angus Lawrie said: “Brewed by the same family for five generations, Menabrea is the number-one premium birra in northern Italy. This VR tour brings a taste of that authentic Italian heritage and culture without having to leave your local bar or restaurant. We can’t wait for people to experience it.”
The company says that customers trying out the VR experience will: “Transport you to our home, located in the foothills of the Italian Alps. You’ll see mountain streams, tour beautiful winding streets and – of course – visit our brewery. Afterwards, you will have the chance to sample the fine taste of our Italian birra, in real life…”
The discover Menabrea VR experience is planned to tour various food and drink festivals across the UK, including Taste London, and will also make an appearance is pubs and bars serving Menabrea across the UK throughout 2018.
