The newest virtual reality (VR) title from Blue Entropy Studios has released on Steam and challenges players to escape from a room filling with water. Entitled Submerged: VR Escape the Room, players will need to overcome any fears they might have of water and use all of their skills and problem solving to beat the clock and escape with their life.
As mentioned, players will find themselves immersed in a room is filling up with water and they must overcome a number of puzzles and challenges to make it out alive. By deciphering secrets and finding tools to aid in your escape, quickly the answers will become clear and the way out will be within reach. Thankfully you are still able to access the parts of the room that are already under water by being able to strategically hold your breath to dive under and complete puzzles.
Designed to offer an immersive experience with room-scale gameplay in mind, players will have to actually move in order to complete this room-escape. Leveraging only the minimum requirement for room-scale, players will be able to enjoy this immersive experience even without having a large amount of space available to them. The limited space available also helps to add further immersion to the experience helping with that feeling of being stuck in a small space.
It was only back in May of this year that Blue Entropy Studios released another VR title, Sign Here, which asked players to simply sign a contract that would give them $1 million (USD). Of course, it is not that simple and quickly things get completely out of control as players find themselves in a mind-bending series of events. This is not the first VR title that Blue Entropy Studios have released including Roomscale Coaster, The Cabin: VR Escape the Room, The Ruins: VR Escape the Room along with Reaching for Petals: VR Edition, a poetic adventure about love, loss, and ambition.
Submerged: VR Escape the Room is available now on Steam with support for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift for £3.99 (GBP) with a 20% discount currently available until 13th September, 2018.
VRFocus will be sure to bring you all the latest from Blue Entropy Studios’ titles in the future so stay tuned for more.
