Cemtrex, a world leading technology and manufacturing company have announced an exclusive licensing agreement to develop and publish videogames based on best-selling author B. V. Larson popular series, Star Force. The series features science fiction action that is fact paced and action packed, filled with nearly non-stop warfare and futuristic technology and now it will be coming to virtual reality (VR).
The author of more than fifty books with over million copies sold, the work of B. V. Larson will now be exclusive converted into videogame content on VR platforms, consoles, PC, and handheld devices by Cemtrex. The companies Chairman and CEO, Saagar Govil, said, “We are immensely excited to collaborate with B.V. Larson on bringing this great series to life in virtual reality. Based on the vast universe that he has created in Star Force, we see tremendous opportunity to create amazing VR experiences and games around this content that will appeal to his massive fanbase as well as attract new fans into the series.”
The company is known for their work on smart technology, virtual and augmented reality (AR), advanced electronic systems, industrial solutions, and intelligent security systems. Cemtrex announced their first VR title earlier this year in the form of Ultra85. The title is being developed by the companies recently formed CemtrexVR team and it is likely that the same team of Ultra85 will be working on the upcoming Star Force titles.
“At Cemtrex we believe that virtual reality will revolutionize the way stories are told and experienced. Whereas books and movies allow people to read and watch their favorite stories, virtual reality will allow them to play and live the story through the first person in a fully immersive way that has never been done before.” Govil continues further: “We see an enormous opportunity over the long term to bring both fiction and non-fiction to virtual reality for truly unique immersive experiences,”
The company are planing to release their first videogame around the Star Force series sometime in 2019. Though there is no word on what platform will come first, VRFocus will be sure to bring you all the latest on the Star Force videogames in the further so stay tuned for more in the future.
