PlayStation VR owners have had quite the wait to get their hands on the Arizona Sunshine Dead Man DLC. The prequel DLC content has been delayed twice on the PlayStation VR, though now developer Vertigo Games and Jaywalkers Interactive have at last announced a release date for the PlayStation VR version.
The PC VR version of Arizona Sunshine Dead Man DLC was released back in May, so owners of PC virtual reality (VR) platforms like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive have been enjoying the new content for a while now.
The DLC was first pushed back from June 2018 to July, before again being pushed back, though this time with a definite release date of 14th August, 2018. so Arizona Sunshine fans at least have a date to make in their diaries.
The reason for the delays was not specified in any great detail, with a statement from Vertigo Games and Jaywalkers Interactive saying: “We’d like to apologize to those disappointed by the launch being pushed out of June. We can’t wait for you to play the prequel mission, but bringing it to PS VR – at the desired quality – is taking a little longer than foreseen due to a technical challenge now solved.”
The Dead Man DLC is a story prequel set when the zombie apocalypse was still in its early stages. Players take the role of US Army special forces Corporal Dockson, who is trying to get a nuclear missile launched in a desperate attempt to halt the spread of zombies.
Players have a challenge ahead of them, with zombies attacking the base even as you strive to complete your mission and the story of the Arizona Sunshine world unfolds around them, and some twists are in store which are said to greatly expand on the lore of the world.
