VR Animation Co-Produced by Jaunt China Selected for Venice Film Festival
Shennong: Taste of Illusion will get its premiere at Venice International Film Festival.
Several virtual reality (VR) titles have already been confirmed as part of the line-up for the 75th Venice International Film Festival. The latest to be announced is a VR animated film produced by Pinta Studios and co-produced by Jaunt China, called Shennong: Taste of Illusion.
The nine-minute VR film will have its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it will be shown as part of a competition with eighteen other VR films and experiences for the Linear VR Immersive Stories competition.
Shennong: Taste of Illusion is the second film to be produced by Jaunt China and selected for the Venice Film Festival. After the premiere, Jaunt China will act as the exclusive global distributor for the film.
The film delves into Chinese mythology to spin the tale of Shennong LiShan, a mythical god-king of herbal medicine and agriculture, who finds himself going on a spiritual quest as he is tasting and collecting herbs and plants to use in medicine.
