Bulleit Bourbon Announce New Limited Edition Bottles Featuring AR Experiences

Brands have been embracing augmented reality (AR) for some time now, using the technology to offer consumers new and exciting ways to experience both the technology and their products. Now, Bulleit Bourbon Whiskey have announced a new range of buttons that not only feature limited edition artwork from some top tattoo artists but also include an AR experience.

Bulleit Bourbon have teamed up with four trailblazing artist and are looking to shake up tattoo culture with the new Bulleit Bourbon Tattoo Edition bottles. The four unique designs have been created with inspiration from the frontier spirit and culture of the cities that the artist live in. It marks the first time that Bulleit Bourbon have been altered and transform the frontier-inspired bottles into collectible pieces of modern art. Each bottle includes a hangtag featuring a scannable QR code which offers access to an interactive AR experience, bringing each of the artist’s designs to life digitally.

Participating artists in this collaboration include Shawn Barber of Los Angeles, Jess Mascetti of New York, Thomas Hooper of Austin, Texas, and Jason Kundell of Portland, Ore. Each artist is known for their unique style of ink and innovative flair which is the same spirit that Bulleit Bourbon embodies through its modern approach to making whiskey. The limited release tattoo bottles will be available to purchase in each artist’s respective state starting in August with select bottles being available nationwide.

“I’ve always thought the Bulleit bottle was badass because of its unique shape and iconic design,” said Shawn Barber of Memoir Tattoo in LA. “Putting my own unique spin on it was a fun challenge because I didn’t want to mess with the style too much, but did want to share what LA means to me through my art. Bulleit gave me a lot of creative liberty and I’m proud of how it turned out.”
