Have you ever wanted to be a Camp Counselor? Well, thanks to developer Blacksmith Studios and virtual reality (VR) you can live out that dream in Camp Grizzly. This new title will challenge you to step into the shoes of a Camp Counselor and look after four kids around the campfire. Shouldn’t be to hard, right?
Looking after the kids around the campfire will require you to not only keep them entertained but also ensuring the fire stays roaring so that the light remains. Play a guitar and sing a song or two if you want to keep the kids attention and happy but should you not then they might wander off into the woods and there is a chance they might not return. The same goes for the campfire which, if not lit, will see the darkness get closer and closer and should it die out then it will be game over for you.
To keep the fire going and the kids happy you’ll need to chop up logs and place them onto the fire. To add to the tension of the title you will have to also deal with a bear that will come and try to attack you now and again which you’ll need to scare off in order to keep you and the kids safe. Grab a torch and fend it off, but should it get to close it will be a game over once again. This won’t just be a fun camping trip like you hope as you manage the different elements to keep the fun and fire going.
Camp Grizzly is available now for £5.79 (GBP) on Steam with support for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. The title can be played seated, standing and in room-scale.
This is the second VR title from developer Blacksmith Studios, with their first one being Show Me What You Got, a juggling title where fame and fortune await if your skills are up to the task. Released backed in April of 2018, Show Me What You Got is available as well for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift for £3.99 (GBP) on Steam.
