In 2016 Sony Interactive Entertainment America (SIEA) rolled out its Road to Greatness Tour across the US, visiting various cities and events with a massive truck filled with PlayStation 4’s and PlayStation VR’s (prior to launch). 2017 was missed out so now the tour is back for 2018, visiting over 20 locations across the US.
For the 2018 tour the Road to Greatness truck has seen an upgrade, so not only will there be more gaming stations than last time they’ve all been upgraded to PlayStation 4 Pro. On the virtual reality (VR) side an extra PlayStation VR spot has been added – it does take up more room – to allow more players the opportunity to delve into VR, maybe for the first time. All this makes for a total of 26 gaming stations.
Out side the truck SIEA has created a porch area complete with TV from PlayStation Vue, so when guests aren’t playing videogames they’ve got somewhere to chill.
As for the videogames on offer, PlayStation VR compatible titles confirmed so far are Polyarc’s Moss, racing experience Gran Turismo Sport, and PlayStation VR Worlds. PlayStation VR titles include: God of War, Detroit: Become Human, Street Fighter V Aracde Edition and many more.
