The specialists in producing, customizing and publishing 360-degree and virtual reality (VR) content, Blend Media, has announced that it has a new deal with 360Cities, the largest collection of 360-degree panoramic imagery from photographers from around the world.
This new partnership means that 360Cities imagery will be made available via Blend Media’s 360 Stories tool which allows brands, agencies and publishers the chance to create, edit and publish 360-degree campaigns. This includes stunning views and famous landmarks from 360Cities’ community of photographers that publish 360-degree content onto the platform. These photographers will be able to benefit from the partnership as they will now be able to monetise their 360-degree imagery of locations across the globe.
Bruce Pales, CEO at 360Cities commented on the announcement saying: “We are excited to partner with Blend Media as the company’s 360 Stories tool is breaking down barriers to using 360° content in creative campaigns. Our partnership with Blend Media offers an exciting new opportunity for us to monetize our contributors’ world-renowned 360° imagery of locations across the globe.”
This partnership will see the 360Cities imagery added to Blend Media’s collection of over 15,000 pieces which are already available to be used within 360-degree stories and content. It will become available to subscribers to the platform beginning in June 2018, and offering up more imagery then ever before.
“360Cities is considered to be one of the leading creative communities and suppliers for panoramic images of some of the most stunning locations in the world. Introducing this new set of imagery to the 360 Stories library
provides subscribers with access to fresh content for creating compelling brand campaigns using the tool. We are delighted to partner with 360Cities who share our passion for the medium and its potential to deliver richer, more engaging experiences.” Said Chris Helm, COO and Co-Founder at Blend Media.
In recent months, AirPano moved to distribute their content from Getty Images to Blend Media, in a deal that sees all content created by the company published via Blend Media. This includes high-resolution aerial footage shot from a range of helicopters and drones, alongside underwater videos all shot in stunning 8K resolution.
