Magic Leap finally revealed their first product, the Magic Leap One: Creator Edition, earlier this week. The device, which has benefited from a six-year incubation period and more than $1.9 Billion USD in funding, will launch to developers in 2018. Following the official announcement of the device, Magic Leap has issued a fact sheet to prevent any confusion about the device and its capabilities.
In addition to the Magic Leap One: Creator Edition device, the company plans to launch a ‘Creators Portal’ early next year. This will make the SDK available to developers across the globe so that they may produce their own content for the device ahead of launch.
