Microsoft and Samsung just revealed the latest addition to the family of Windows 10 mixed reality (MR) devices. The Samsung HMD will be called the Odyssey and Microsoft also has announced pre-orders for the headsets.
Users who wish to reserve their pre-order for one of the MR Windows 10 devices can visit the Microsoft Store to place their order.
Currently available for pre-order are:
Samsung HMD Odyssey – This device features a dual AMOLED display, 110 field of view, built in AKG headset and 6DoF inside-out tracking.
Acer Windows MR Headset – Acer is offering its headset as a bundle with motion controllers. The controllers offer compatibility with motion-controlled titles and enable positional and rotational tracking.
Dell Visor – The Dell Visor comes with 1440 x 1440 LCD panel display with a 360-degree panoramic view. The headset features cushioning for the head and face for additional comfort.
HP Windows MR Headset – The HP headset will also feature in a bundle with the Windows motion controllers.
Lenovo Explorer – Lenovo say the tracking in the Explorer can maintain accuracy over 3.5m x 3.5m without need for external sensors or need for continual re-orientation.
