There’s nothing like a good virtual reality (VR) horror videogame to understand how immersive the tech can be. Coming to PlayStation VR and PlayStation 4 is developer Revelo’s most ambitious title to date, a survival adventure called Mindtaker.
You play a detective who’s received a call from headquarters about a murder in a neighbourhood you’d grown up in. It has taken place in a dark mysterious house, the kind that kids avoid unless they dare each other to go inside.
Entering the house you discover something supernatural is going on, with an old witch and her cat playing a part – the cat accompanies you through the adventure just to add that extra level of creepiness.
As yet Revelo hasn’t announced a release date for Mindtaker, but it has released a new trailer for the experience showing some or the gameplay and horrors that await.
If you like a good scare then this past week has already seen several titles announced for October. There’s The Exorcist: Legion VR by Wolf & Wood Interactive for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR or how about Outer Brain Studios’ Organ Quarter for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
As further details on Mindtaker are released VRFocus will keep you updated.
