Craft Keep VR to Hit Retail Stores This Month

For the most part virtual reality (VR) content distribution has stayed digital, with outlets such as Steam, Oculus Store and the PlayStation Store being the main avenue for titles. Actual physical retail copies are a rare sight – PlayStation VR probably has the most – especially for PC videogames. This month Excalibur Publishing is bucking that trend with Craft Keep VR, with a retail version to be rolled out at the end of the month.

The company has now confirmed Craft Keep VR retail copies have now entered production, ready for their release on 26th May 2017. There’s no additional benefits to purchasing the physical copy in terms of content – some gamers just like an actual disk – and Excalibur has yet to confirm if the price will differ from the Steam version which retails for £10.99 GBP.

Essentially a sort of retail management videogame where players have to forge weapons and create weird concoctions for customers, Craft Keep VR requires a careful juggling of supplies and materials to make what’s needed ensuring a successful business. There’s over 1,000 possible sword and axe types to craft with enchantment stones that can add attributes like fire and ice. Customers will also need repairs to be done using the forge, anvil and hammer.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Craft Keep VR, reporting back with any further updates.
