UK Defence Solutions Centre (UKDSC) will be appearing at the Virtual Reality Show in London to discuss disruptive technologies and innovation with Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
UKDSC will be sending Capability Development Leader Afzal Ali to speak during the Defence Conference portion of the Virtual Reality show, where Ali will address how non-traditional defence suppliers can engage with defence organisations and introduce new innovative and disruptive technologies.
Afzal Ali said: “The UK is renowned for its innovation and has a huge breadth of defence training expertise. The Virtual Reality show gives the UKDSC an opportunity to engage with SME and non-traditional defence organisations in order to understand their capabilities. The UKDSC can then map them to a UK baseline, to build a picture of the technology landscape around the use of Virtual and Augmented Reality, particularly with respect to defence training and maintenance systems.”
The Virtual Reality Show is due to take place on 20th-22nd April at the Business Design Centre in London. Other speakers who have been invited to address the audience include Jay Torres from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab, Hugo Ward from Channel 4, Leila Martine of Microsoft, Bruce New from Sony and many more. In addition there will be several workshops and discussions covering sectors such as medicine, military and defence, entertainment and gaming and audio.
