As part of the celebration surrounding the first anniversary of the HTC Vive, developer Cloudhead Games have announced a couple of special offers for current players of their title The Gallery: Call of the Starseed.
Current Steam players of Call of the Starseed, the first part of Cloudhead Games’ episodic space adventure game, will be able to download the official soundtrack for the title for free by going to DLC section to download it. The soundtrack should then appear in the ‘music’ section of the library.
In an attempt to attract new players ahead of the launch of The Gallery’s second chapter Heart of the Emberstone, Call of the Starseed is now on Steam at 40% off, reducing the price from £14.99 (GBP) to £8.99.
In addition, the developers have launched a contest that offers the opportunity to win a signed Call of the Starseed poster and some Heart of the Emberstone Steam keys once the second episode is launched later in Spring. Further details are available on Cloudhead Games’ social media pages.
As covered in an interview with Cloudhead, Heart of the Emberstone is set to be a bigger challenge to players compared to Call of the Starseed, and takes inspiration from classic 80s fantasy movies such as Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal.
Further details can be found on The Gallery: Call of the Starseed official Steam page.
The Gallery supports HTC Vive and Oculus Rift with Touch and enables room-scale functionality. A PlayStation VR version is also in development, though there is no word on release date or price point for that version as of yet.
VRFocus will bring you further updates on The Gallery and other special offers when they come in.
