Dark horror FPS Inner Chains has been quiet for a while, but has now released a new gameplay trailer, which shows off improvements to combat and design.
Inner Chains is a horror FPS set in what developer Telepaths’ Tree describe as a ‘dark biomechanical world’ depicted in a surreal style. The player’s goal is make their way to a place called ‘The Last Hope’ in the hope of escape, fighting against hostile people, monstrous animals and even killer plant life.
The game was funded via Kickstarter, and made $18,708 (USD) through the campaign.
The new gameplay trailer demonstrates improvements in many areas, including changes to the combat system, improved animations and new sound effects. The NPC characters have also been modified to have a more diverse appearance and possess differing move sets.
Inner Chains is currently set to be released in Q2 of 2017. Though the Kickstarter campaign promised virtual reality (VR) support, it’s not currently known which headset the game will support.
