Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 biohazard launches in a few weeks time and for UK customers the studio announced the opening of an immersive experience in London, which runs across four days.
Resident Evil 7: The Experience is a 45-minute event that’s been inspired by the new videogame. Set in a haunted and dilapidated venue in the heart of London’s East End, The Sewer Gators, a paranormal TV production team, is looking for intern reporters to help them investigate the disappearance of their missing crew.
Participants arrive in the debrief area with a partner for the assignment. They will then need to work together to collect hints, solve a web of puzzles and clues, and outsmart the Baker family, searching for the truth about the missing colleagues and try escaping the house unscathed.
Laura Skelly, PR Manager, Capcom comments: “For anyone who has ever wanted to enter the world of Resident Evil, now is your chance! We wanted to give fans a little glimpse into the Resident Evil 7: Biohazard gameplay, bringing it to life and allowing people to interact with the game in a brand-new way, and perhaps even having a chance encounter with some of the game’s characters. Playing on the idea of survival horror, we are really excited to see who will be able to escape the experience when it opens its doors to the public later this month.”
“I’m extremely excited to see Resident Evil 7: Biohazard come to life through this Experience, and for participants to get a little taster of what is to come in the game,” said Game producer Masachika Kawata
Resident Evil 7: The Experience takes place in London from 20th – 23rd January and will be free entry on a strictly first-come basis. While the location of the Baker House is secret, participants will need to be at the debrief area at Dray Walk Gallery, located at 91 Brick Ln, London E1 6QL at 11:30am GMT.
