Capcom Continues Resident Evil 7 Promotion with Movie Offer
The new deal is available to US customers only.
Even if you’ve no interest in the series, you can’t have missed the fact that Capcom has been doing its utmost to promote the latest installment of Resident Evil. There’s all manner of offers and promotions going on, from the usual steel books and collectors editions, to specific merchandising like the 4D candle for virtual reality (VR) players on PlayStation VR or the Resident Evil: Experience taking place in London, UK. Now for US customers there’s another promotion available, this time offering deals in collaboration with the movie franchise.
Firstly there’s the Gamestop offer. If customers pre-order the videogame at the retailer they’ll receive a redemption code to download a digital copy of Resident Evil: Retribution. PlayStation 4 owners can download the movie on VUDU, while Xbox One pre-orders will receive a redeemable code for Xbox Store. This offer is available for both pre-orders and purchases of Resident Evil 7 biohazard in the US through 6th February, 2017, and also applies to those who’ve already placed an order.
For Xbox owners the same deal with Resident Evil: Retribution applies for Xbox Store digital pre-orders, but PlayStation Network digital pre-orders are slightly different.
Instead players will receive a message with a 40 percent discount off the HD movie bundle Resident Evil Collection on the PlayStation Store. The collection includes Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Resident Evil: Extinction, Resident Evil: Afterlife, and Resident Evil: Retribution. This offer is available through 23rd, January, 2017.
VRFocus will continue its Resident Evil 7 biohazard coverage in the run up to launch, reporting back with any further updates.
