UK virtual reality (VR) specialist nDreams is well known within the field, having created titles such a The Assembly for all three major head-mounted displays (HMDs) and Danger Goat for Google Daydream. Today the developer revealed its latest project, Perfect, designed as a tranquil escape from the world.
Like other relaxing VR experiences that are designed to sooth and relax users with ambient sounds and exotic locations, Perfect features three idyllic locals, Tropical Beach, Northern Lights and Mountain Wilderness. Players can then select different times of day and viewing points to find that perfect zen moment. And if the in-game soundtrack isn’t to their liking, they can switch, listening to playlists using Spotify.
“We are constantly bombarded by emails, txts, IMs, advertisements and alarms. Technology makes us available 24/7, and that leaves little time to sit back, breathe deeply and recharge away from the chaos. Perfect provides beautiful virtual locations to relax and unwind. Seeing the beauty of the Northern Lights in VR makes an ideal first VR experience for non-gamers,” said Patrick O’Luanaigh, CEO nDreams.
Supporting Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE) PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift + Touch, and HTC Vive, users can look around, interact with their surroundings or jut sit back and chill out if they want to.
Perfect launches on the US PlayStation Store on 13th December while for Europe its the 20th. HTC Vive users can download the experience through Steam on the 16th of December, while the Oculus Rift release date will be announced shortly. The title will be priced at $9.99 USD/ €7.99 EUR / £7.99 GBP.
