It’s Time to Team Up as Serious Sam VR Adds Online Co-op & New Modes

If you’re a fan of intense arcade shooters the Serious Sam franchise has been a fan favourite for a while now. In October developer Croteam launched a virtual reality (VR) version, Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope for HTC Vive. Then when Oculus Touch arrived last week support was added for the motion controllers. Today Croteam has announced the first major update for the title, adding among other features online co-op multiplayer.

Now friends can join together to wade through hordes of evil monsters that will stop at nothing to end them. But they don’t need the same head-mounted display (HMD) either. Players can jump in and start doling out destruction no matter which headset they own as Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope supports cross-platform play.

Along with new weapons to master and upgrade the update also adds two new difficulty modes: Tourist and Serious. Both options are available in single-player and co-op modes, making gameplay nice and easy or a serious challenge.
