Last month developer Fatshark held a Twitch stream for its online multiplayer title Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, showcasing new content for the PC videogame. As part of it, the studio unveiled a virtual reality (VR) experience being worked on, and today players will now get their hands on it.
Available through Steam, Warhammer: Vermintide VR – Hero Trials comes in two flavours. The first is a free version which includes two levels for players to explore: Red Moon Inn and Hall of the Poison Feast. Red Moon Inn features all the heroes from Vermintide relaxing and chilling out in between fights, whilst being able to explore the various items you can pick up and move around the room. Hall of the Poison Feast is the main interactive experience with players having to fend off waves of Skaven. Plus there’s a two-player co-op available.
The second version is the full VR experience, which can only be unlocked if players own the normal version of the videogame. This will include two additional levels to fight through: Reikwald and Ungdrin Rail. Both are wave based levels, with Reikwald taking place in a weathered forest outside of Ubersreik. While Ungdrin Rail has gamers trying to survive the oncoming Skaven as they travel through the mine tunnel in search of the exit.
If you want to unlock the full VR experience Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide can be bought for £22.99 GBP through Steam. For any further updates on Warhammer: Vermintide VR – Hero Trials, keep reading VRFocus.
