Today saw the start of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE) third annual PlayStation Experience, with it beginning with the live-streamed PlayStation Showcase. This is when SIE reveals lots of new titles coming for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation VR. SIE’s Shelby Cox took to the stage to new details for several videogames, one of which was Resident Evil 7 biohazard.
Cox revealed a new trailer for the upcoming horror title (seen below), and she also announced that PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation VR owners will be able to download the final demo update for Resident Evil 7 biohazard tonight (Pacific time). She didn’t state what would feature on the demo in terms of additional content, but players shouldn’t have long to wait to find out.
There’s been plenty of Resident Evil news in the run up to the videogames’ launch. Capcom released ten very short teaser videos – with the last appearing early November – along with continually updating the original demo that appeared at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). There’s also been the various reveals about limited edition versions of the videogame, with steel books available or the Collectors Edition which features a replica of the mansion from the title.
Resident Evil 7 biohazard launches on 24th, January 2017 on multiple platforms, but it’s exclusive to PlayStation VR for 12 months. For all the latest news on Resident Evil 7 biohazard, keep reading VRFocus.
