The popular ‘experimental’ virtual reality (VR) racing videogame Distance has received a new update, bringing HTC Vive compatibility to the experience for the first time. The Ghost Update, available to download for the Steam Early Access title now, includes a number of additional features including an increased player limit for online competition.
Distance originally launched with VR compatibility via Steam Early Access in September 2015. Since then, Refract has promised a PlayStation VR edition of the videogame and additional support for the consumer version of the Oculus Rift. This new update adds HTC Vive support to the existing version of the videogame, as well as introducing new replay and ghost racing functionality, revamped progression and statistics systems, visual improvements both in-game and for the UI, as well as an overhaul of the included Level Editor software.
Numerous bug fixes are also included in this latest update. The full changelog can be found on the official Steam updates page for the videogame.
Distance is available to download for both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive now, via Steam Early Access, priced at £14.99 GBP. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on Distance and other VR titles from Refract.
