CES 2017, Las Vegas, is set to be a landmark moment in the annual calendar for virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). With VR now in consumers hands and AR rapidly approaching, the use cases of both technologies are expanding rapidly, and Cappasity are planning on showcasing a cost-effective solution for online retail utilising these mediums at the January event.
‘A cloud-based platform that lets online stores easily create and deliver 3D, VR and AR shopping experiences’ is billed by Cappasity, as the company discusses its solution to allow anyone to quickly produce high quality 3D images of products and embed them into websites, mobile apps and VR/AR apps.
In comparison to traditional 2D photos, 3D images have been known to increase user retention and potentially increase purchase ratios. A buyer is able to rotate, zoom and look at the product from different angles, which brings them as close as possible to the product while shopping online.
Attendees of CES 2017 will have an opportunity to order a free trial of the technology from Cappasity, which includes 3D digitising and integration of products. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest VR and AR news from the CES 2017 show floor.
