Celebrity obsession is nothing new, however the virtual reality (VR) obsession from celebrities is again gaining traction. Following the enthusiastic pursuance from the likes of Kevin Spacey, Elijah Wood and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, it’s now the turn of British actor Victoria Summer to see what the medium has to offer.
Summer, who is on track for a promising career in Hollywood thanks to roles in Saving Mr. Banks and Transformers: Age of Extinction, had her first taste of modern VR courtesy of AMD. Playing on a HTC Vive at AMD’s office in Beijing, China, Summer partook what is a questionable first VR experience: Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul.
Set to launch on Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR and HTC Vive, Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul is currently in development at VRWERX. The videogame isn’t aiming to reproduce the experience of the film from which it earns its title, but rather offer its own take on the horror promoted by Paramount Pictures’ hugely popular franchise.
The video below showcases just what you can expect when Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul launches, currently expected to be some time in 2017. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the details on Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul and other forthcoming horror experiences in VR.
