Ubisoft has announced today that the virtual reality (VR) update for its extreme racing title Trackmania Turbo has gone live. The free update for existing owners of the videogame means that they can now play using Oculus Rift, HTC Vive or PlayStation VR.
Trackmania Turbo has been developed by Nadeo, a Ubisoft Studio, and features arcade-style racing that’s easy-to-learn, but hard-to-master. While the standard videogame has 200 tracks to master across 5 difficulty levels, there’s now 40 exclusive VR tracks available set across the four Trackmania Turbo environments – International Stadium, Valley Down & Dirty, Rollercoaster Lagoon and Canyon Grand Drift.
There’s also the various options available including time-attack gameplay, where players set their own limits and challenges, and a trackbuilder so the players can bring to life their own crazy ideas or simply generate random ones for a new challenge.
For those that haven’t purchased Trackmania Turbo and want to see what the VR update is all about then there’s a free demo available through Steam and PlayStation Store. The demo includes four tracks from the Rollercoaster Lagoon and Canyon Grand Drift environments to test out.
Trackmania Turbo can be purchased now for £29.99 GBP from either store, and for any further VR updates on the title, keep reading VRFocus.
