UK virtual reality (VR) specialist studio, nDreams, has today announced the release date for its upcoming motion-controller support for The Assembly. Furthermore, the developer has confirmed that the update will be available for all owners of The Assembly free of charge.
The Assembly launched this summer on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, subsequently arriving on PlayStation VR at launch. VRFocus delivered a review of The Assembly at launch, stating: “There are a lot of design decisions that have been made purely to cultivate the immersive nature of VR and are hugely successful.”
A patch for the HTC Vive version of The Assembly will be made available tomorrow, 29th November 2016, via Steam. According to nDreams, this patch also ‘enhances the ability for The Assembly to be played as a room-scale experience’. The Oculus Touch and PlayStation Move compatibility, for Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR respectively, will arrive in December. Further evidence of the new features included within the update can be seen in the video below and VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest from nDreams.
