Yesterday VRFocus reported on HTC revealing Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales for its head-mounted display (HMD), HTC Vive. The announcement only clarified deals for US consumers, but today the company has confirmed the sales will be coming to UK customers as well.
For those interested in picking up a HTC Vive, this weekend sees £100 knocked off the normal price of the headset. This will be the first time HTC has discounted the device and it’s especially good for UK customers as the Vive saw a £70 price increase back in August. The recently announced free delivery offer is still in place as well.
The £100 discount also applies to the Vive Ready HP Computer Bundle, dropping the price down to £1399. The bundle already offered £200 off buying the PC and headset separately, so this weekends offer makes it even better value.
Peter Frolund, VP of VR (Europe) at HTC said: “From Black Friday through to Cyber Monday, we’re offering incredible savings on Vive and a host of immersive content on Viveport, allowing customers to take the leap into room-scale VR experiences at our lowest price yet. Christmas 2016 will see true virtual reality at a massive consumer level, and for tech fans, our weekend promotion provides the perfect opportunity to bring home award-winning VR this holiday season.”
Along with the hardware deals there’s also software discounts available through Viveport. Customers who spend £25 or more between Black Friday and Cyber Monday get £15 equivalent back in their wallets. A £4 bundle is also available containing three popular virtual reality (VR) apps, Soundstage, Arcade Artist and Lumen.
Lastly Viveport is also offering 50 percent discount on the following 20 titles:
A Chair in a Room: Greenwater
Adventurous Life VR
C O S M Worlds Within Worlds
Cloudlands: VR Minigolf
Cmoar VR Cinema
Emily Wants to Play
Heaven Island Life
Konrad the Kitten
Oneiric Sculptures – Rodin
Potioneer: The VR Gardening Simulator
The Night the Carsons Disappeared
World of Diving
Viveport’s Black Friday Weekend sale starts at 00:00 CET on Friday 25th November and runs through to 23:59 CET on Monday 28th, November 2016.
