Last month VRFocus reported on upcoming horror movie Don’t Knock Twice – starring Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galatica) – getting its own virtual reality (VR) videogame of the same name. A short demo was released on Steam for HTC Vive and now there’s more screenshots available showcasing more of the title.
If you’ve played the demo you’ll have seen it only takes place in one room, giving a basic introduction to the gameplay mechanics of teleporting around, picking up items, and the various uses they can have for progression. And naturally a few scares put in for good measure.
With the screenshots below, you get to see far more of the grand manor house in which Don’t Knock Twice is set, with candle lit hallways, stained glass windows, crackling fire places, moonlight soaked areas and more. What’s clear from the images is the level of detail and design work that Wales Interactive has put into the videogame, with the dim, atmospheric lighting playing an important role in setting the mood.
What’s not shown in any of the screenshots are the horrors that lay in wait, these are briefly seen in the demo, which VRFocus won’t mention as not to spoil the surprise.
Don’t Knock Twice is scheduled for release for HTC Vive on 10th April 2017, in the mean time keep reading VRFocus for any further updates to the title.
