Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s VR Experience to be Free for All PlayStation 4 Owners

The forthcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is one of the most highly anticipated videogame launches of the year. Alongside its arrival however, comes the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Jackal Assault VR Experience, which has been confirmed as launching for free to all PlayStation 4 owners, not just those who purchase Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Jackal Assault VR Experience

Developed exclusively for PlayStation VR, the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Jackal Assault VR Experience immerses players in the cockpit of a Jackal, a personal multi-role fighter jet featured in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Originally believed to be an add-on for those who purchased Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on PlayStation 4, the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Jackal Assault VR Experience will now be free for all to download from the PlayStation Store from tomorrow, according to a blog post from publisher Activision.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Jackal Assault VR Experience is suggested to require approximately 1.5 GB of storage space and cannot be played without the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD). Of course, the Call of Duty franchise isn’t the first AAA videogame series to offer a PlayStation VR compatible add-on, with Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20th Anniversary Edition and Final Fantasy XV both delivering virtual reality (VR) experiences alongside the core videogame.

The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Jackal Assault VR Experience will launch on PlayStation Store tomorrow, 4th November 2016, available for all to download for free. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on Call of Duty’s excursions into the realms of VR.
