With only 3 months to go until Capcom launches the next instalment of its zombie horror series Resident Evil 7 biohazard, the studio is teasing fans with four new videos.
Individually the videos don’t reveal a great deal as each of them last for between 30 to 40 seconds, but as a whole do paint a picture of what to expect from the upcoming title.
The first video titled ‘Mysterious Caller’ jumps between various phones ringing, the last one is picked up with a woman on the other end say: “You really shouldn’t have come here”. The second video is the shortest with the player opening a green chest to find everyone’s favourite weapon for killing the undead, the trusty pump action shotgun. For the third video viewers get to see the save system using an old school tape recorder, and the final video sees the player getting out a trusty knife to break open a box, then use it to slice tape holding a cupboard shut.
Earlier this month VRFocus reported on the findings that Resident Evil 7 biohazard – which has only been shown on one virtual reality (VR) headset, PlayStation VR – would be exclusive to the head-mounted display (HMD) for 12 months. The indication of exclusivity means that Oculus Rift or HTC Vive could both see the title released for the platforms in 2018.
For now though PlayStation VR owners have a lot of content to get though, with a stack of titles available on launch day and further videogames scheduled to launch in the coming weeks and months, such as Tethered next week and Ubisoft’s Eagle Flight in November.
