There’s been several virtual reality (VR) experiences based on movies over the last year, these have included The Walk, The Martian VR Experience and Ghostbusters: Dimension to name a few. Now Don’t Knock Twice, a horror film starring Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galatica) has got its own VR videogame and a demo has now been released on Steam.
Don’t Knock Twice is a first-person horror title based around an urban legend. A guilt-ridden mother must save her estranged daughter from a vengeful, demonic witch. Players find themselves inside a grand manor house which they need to explore to save the daughter. Littered around are objects which can aid in their journey to fight and escape the other worldly terror.
The demo supports the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift head-mounted displays (HMDs), with the full videogame also launching for PlayStation VR, PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in Q1 2017.
Don’t Knock Twice has been developed by Wales Interactive, which has also created Infinity Runner, Soul Axiom, The Bunker and Gravity Badgers. As VRFocus learns more about the videogame we’ll bring you further details.
