At Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Tokyo Game Show press conference this morning PlayStation VR took centre stage. A number of new titles were showcased for the head-mounted display (HMD) in a highlights trailer, one of which was the former Oculus Rift exclusive VR Tennis Online.
Originally launched alongside the Oculus Rift back in March 2016, VR Tennis Online is an enjoyable recreation of the sport featuring a wide variety of gameplay modes. It’s an inherently arcade influenced videogame, with powerful special moves available for each of the characters.
VRFocus delivered a review of VR Tennis Online at the launch of the original Oculus Rift version, stating: “It’s a snack to nibble on in between the mouthfuls of AAA, and a perfectly enjoyable one at that.”
No release date nor price point has yet been announced for the PlayStation VR version of VR Tennis Online, though it has been suggested that the videogame will launch alongside the PlayStation VR HMD in Japan. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on a potential western release for VR Tennis Online on PlayStation VR.
