One of the big virtual reality (VR) announcements that occurred during June’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was the reveal by Capcom of Resident Evil 7 biohazard, with support for PlayStation VR. For PlayStation 4 owners who pre-order the videogame they receive the Survival Pack DLC, an image of which has recently surfaced.
The image below which appeared on NeoGaf details four different sets which presumably will be available for players to choose before embarking. There is the Recovery Set, Handgun Set, Burner Set and Chem Fluid Set.
The Recovery Set uses the exact same image which Capcom used in an email members of the Resident Evil Ambassador programme last month, showcasing the return of infamous healing item, Green Herb. The Handgun Set includes extra bullets for the players pistol, with two coloured boxes one is likely to be more powerful or offer something special. With the Burner Set featuring gas canisters and possible sparking equipment it’s all about setting fire to stuff, burning away cloth or pictures to uncover hidden items/areas or simply to light candles. While the Chem Fluid Set includes green healing fluid, pills that could be for removing poisoning and a fluid pouch.
There’s also the question of the mysterious coins with each set having a different one. In the August email Capcom simply stated: “Oh wait… what’s this coin doing here?”, with no further explanation. The Recover Set has a gold coin, the Handgun Set a silver coin, the Burner Set what looks like a stone coin and Chem Fluid Set possibly a bronze or copper coin.
As further details are revealed, VRFocus will report back with the latest updates for Resident Evil 7 biohazard.
