If you’ve pre-ordered the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) then you’ll know that today marks two weeks before the device sees its worldwide launch. There’s going to be plenty of titles available on day one, and for pool fans there’s going to be Sports Bar VR from Cherry Pop Games and Perilous Orbit.
Sports Bar VR is the PlayStation VR’s version of popular HTC Vive videogame Pool Nation VR. Not only have the developers changed the name for the release but they’ve also added several new features along with all the updates that Pool Nation VR has had so far.
So Sports Bar VR not only includes all the ball potting fun of the original but now there’s 6-player, multiplayer VR hangouts and more than seven pub games in the bar and more to come in future updates. For the launch of Sports Bar VR gamers will be able to play Pool, Darts, Air Hockey, Skreeball, Shuffleboard, Chess and Checkers.
Ever since Cherry Pop Games and Perilous Orbit launched Pool Nation VR on HTC Vive in June, its been hugely popular with gamers, with the Steam community giving it a ‘very positive’ rating, and VRFocus gave it top marks in our review saying: “Pool Nation VR is one of the most complete and well presented videogames not just on the HTC Vive, but in modern VR as a whole.”
Soon it’ll be PlayStation VR’s turn, you’ll just have to wait until 13th October before you can get your hands on the headset and dive into the world of Sports Bar VR.
