Last years PlayStation Experience in San Francisco, California was a big success for Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), with the event featuring a bunch of newly announced titles for PlayStation VR. This years show dates have just been announced, along with a move to Anaheim, California.
This year the event is going to be very different from the last due to SIE releasing so much hardware in the preceding months. This month featured the launch of PlayStation 4 Slim, dropping the price for entry onto SIE’s platform even lower. In November the PlayStation 4 Pro will launch, and not forgetting PlayStation VR is set to arrive in October.
Visitors to PlayStation Experience will get hands-on time with the PlayStation 4 Pro on 4K TVs and dozens of PlayStation VR demos, as well as developer panels and much more. It’ll begin with the PlayStation Showcase, which if it’s anything like last year will be filled with new videogame announcements. The 2015 show revealed seven new titles for PlayStation VR, in the form of Job Simulator, Modern Zombie Taxi Co, Eagle Flight, Rez Infinite, Golem, Ace Combat 7 and 100FT Robot Golf.
PlayStation Experience 2016 will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, running from Saturday, 3rd December, 10:00am – 10:00pm to Sunday, 4th December, 2016, 10:00am – 6:00pm. The PlayStation Showcase will begin at 10am on the Saturday.
If you’re interested in going tickets are now available from playstation.com/experience-tickets. There’s a Two-Day Early Bird Ticket for $60 USD which is available until Sunday, 16th October. These are limited in quantity so they might sell out prior to that date. A regular Two-Day Ticket costs $75, with a Saturday only ticket priced at $45 and a Sunday only ticket is $40.
More details on the videogames, developers and publishers attending will be released soon, so keep reading VRFocus for all the latest updates on the show.
