“We’re so excited to partner with Hulu on the first-ever global news show and first-ever comedy series in virtual reality,” said HuffPost RYOT Co-Founder Bryn Mooser. “Virtual reality has an extraordinary power to bring you inside the story and, given their passion for innovation and storytelling, Hulu is the perfect partner to bring these stories to life.”

“This partnership with HuffPost RYOT helps us continue to grow our premium VR offerings and bring our viewers the first news and comedy experiences in virtual reality,” commented Noah Heller, Hulu’s VP of Emerging Technology.

Creating Virtually Mike and Nora is Nora Kirkpatrick (The Office, Edward Sharpe), and Mike O’Brien (SNL, Portlandia). The pair have co-created, written and directed the series which will use the audience as a necessary part of the humour in the show, whereby the viewer will be a character as well as letting them be an omnipresent voyeur.

The Big Picture: News in Virtual Reality hosted by HuffPost RYOT Co-Founder Bryn Mooser, will focus on key issues, interviews and full 360-degree reporting to create an immersive way to experience the news.

“Video is a top priority at The Huffington Post and we’re focused on expanding our footprint across various platforms,” said Charlotte Koh, Head of Video at The Huffington Post. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Hulu to offer our audience across the globe a first-of-its-kind authentic and intimate viewing experience through the Hulu app.”
