George Kliavkoff Appointed as CEO of Jaunt

One of the biggest names in cinematic virtual reality (VR) content creation and distribution, Jaunt has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer today. Taking over from Jaunt founder Arthur van Hoff, who has served as interim CEO and will resume his role as chief technology officer is George Kliavkoff.

Kliavkoff previously served as co-president of Entertainment & Syndication at Hearst Corporation, the company’s largest operating division responsible for Hearst’s interests in cable television networks, including ESPN, Lifetime, A&E and History; television production and distribution; newspaper syndication; and merchandise licensing.

Jaunt ONE

Before Hearst, Kliavkoff held roles at NBC Universal as chief digital officer and executive vice president for Major League Baseball Advanced Media. At NBC he was among the team responsible for the creation and launch of Hulu.com, while at MLB he oversaw the online and mobile subscription and licensing businesses.

“George’s strategic vision and expertise scaling innovative global media companies are exactly the right combination to take Jaunt to the next level,” said van Hoff. “His proven track record for introducing forward-thinking video technology platforms to mainstream audiences makes him an exceptional fit for us. The board and I are thrilled that he is joining the company.”

Recently Jaunt has been expanding its worldwide operations opening a new office in Amsterdam, Netherlands, adding to its presence in Europe which includes a business office in London, UK.
