Frima Originals has today confirmed to VRFocus that the critically acclaimed FATED: The Silent Oath will be made available for PlayStation VR at launch. This emotional journey follows the Ulfr, a family man who will stop at nothing to protect those whom he loves. Along with his wife Freja, daughter Lif and nephew Sven, Ulfr must overcome insurmountable odds to ensure the safety of his family from imminent destruction at the hands of mythical beasts and giants.
FATED: The Silent Oath launched on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive earlier this year. In VRFocus review of FATED: The Silent Oath, it was stated that: “By-and-large the videogame is a unique and inviting title that utilises VR greatly, proving that deep exploration of character is heightened by the medium and that greater bonds can be forged.”
Developed using Unreal Engine 4, FATED: The Silent Oath is a bright and colourful adventure in which the player experiences action, puzzle solving and emotional ties to their family. Communication is low-key, asking the player only with responding to questions with either nods or head shakes, but the progression of the story through these simple elements is often intense.
No price point has yet been announced for the PlayStation VR version of FATED: The Silent Oath, though at present the videogame will likely only see a digital release. VRFocus will of course keep you updated with all the latest details on FATED: The Silent Oath and other forthcoming PlayStation VR launch titles.
