Back during the first week of August Epic Games announced and detailed during a livestream its latest update for Unreal Engine 4.13, which included a decent amount of features regarding virtual reality (VR) development, and has been available since this month. Now, rather than releasing a whole new update, fixes have been made to Unreal Engine – and pretty big ones too for VR.
The most notable of them all is perhaps the integration of support for Google Daydream, which is in the “UE-36078 Integrate fixes for GoogleVR SDK 1.0” point, meaning that Google Daydream is now a standard feature for UE4.
On top of that, a fair amount has been fixed when it comes to PlayStation VR, including that of a stuttering issue, motion sensor update, and startup dialogue fix.
There is one fix for the Samsung Gear VR: “UE-33763 GearVR applications show black screen on Adreno devices”.
One last update that was listed and added as a hotfix is the crashing upon exiting VR Preview on Windows.
