For videogame racing fans virtual reality (VR) puts players directly in the driving seat, offering an exhilarating gameplay experience. Titles such as Project CARS and DiRT Rally have already proved to be popular on VR headsets like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Now British sports cars company Ginetta is launching a competition for one lucky person to win the ultimate VR simulator racing setup.
Ginetta is celebrating the growing world of online racing and eSports, with the VR competition worth over £2,500. The prize consists of a Cyberpower Z170 gaming PC with an Intel Core i7-6700 Quad Core 3.40 GHz processor and MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card, a HTC Vive head-mounted display (HMD), a Playseat Evolution gaming seat and a Logitech G920 wheel and pedal set. The package also includes a copy of Project Cars: Game of the Year Edition, featuring a range of Ginetta racing cars.
The competition is only open to UK residents and free of charge to enter. The prize draw runs from 26th August until 3rd October and can be entered by visiting www.ginetta.com/weareginetta.
Ginetta has been building British road and race cars since 1958 and, as one of the few remaining British sports car manufacturers, are historically responsible for some of the most iconic race and road cars. Since its purchase by Lawrence Tomlinson in 2005, the company has grown to become a significant player on the global motorsport scene, producing around 200 hand-crafted cars per year, for customers across the globe.
