Blue Effect was featured at this year’s Gamescom, and is a horror survival first person shooter (FPS) for the HTC Vive, and it is going to be released next month.
Developed by Czech developers DIVR Labs, Blue Effect places players into a dark and eerie atmosphere where they are forced to survive against wave after wave of enemies. The main threat, however, isn’t necessarily the biomechanical beings rumoured to be only a myth, but whether or not you are to fade away into the darkness that surrounds you.
It is not clear whether or not there are levels, bosses, or structured narrative in this title, but what is clear is that you are armed with a futuristic laser gun and the Blue Effect orb to light your way through the forgotten world you’re stranded in.
The developers of Blue Effect released a developers log to detail what has been put into the creation of the title.
Horror FPS Blue Effect will be released this September on Steam for the HTC Vive, but it isn’t clear how much it will be released for or when exactly. It previously featured on Steam for its Greenlight campaign, where it was very much successful in its endeavours.
