It was reported yesterday that Google’s Daydream mobile-based virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) will be shown off in the next coming weeks according to reports, along with titles that have been funded by Google itself. InMind 2 is one of those titles that will be coming out for the Daydream HMD, and it takes players on the excruciating journey from teenagehood to becoming an adult, but this time it’s not your own life that you’re going to potentially mess up.
Inspired by Disney Pixar’s Inside Out movie and (more scientifically) Lövheim’s emotions theory, InMind 2 looks at the chemistry behind human emotions as the player decides John’s life. There will be several key moments in his life that the player will have to react to, leading to new interests and relations, meaning that you could either help John on his journey, or make him crash and burn horribly as we all feared we would.
As this title is not yet finished, Nival VR is reaching out to its audience and opening up the chance for them to voice the title. “So the idea is simple?—?we are looking for talented players who can take up the task of vocalizing two our characters?—?the teenager John and the Narrator, who explains the biological processes behind human emotions and also wraps up John story as a whole.” Those who wish to send examples of their voice acting can do so by emailing Oleg Chumakov at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Currently, the title is open for beta testing, which is open to those who want to download the pre-release version of InMind 2, and it will open up in September.
The full version of InMind 2 is said to come out for October/November time for both Daydream and Cardboard.
